WIP, November

Not a lot of stitching accomplished this month, but a number of projects have been squared away. Time to look at the WIPocalypse list and see where I will be at the end of this year:

  1. Walker bench seat (rug hooking): moving along, this will carry into next year.
  2. Lurcher (needlepoint): complete, finished, boxed and ready to ship as a birthday gift, see photo.
  3. Fantasy Landscape (xs): this will go into heavy rotation!
  4. Italian Bird tile (xs): can’t wait to pick it up from the framer’s, it will be opened Christmas morning.
  5. Grateful Heart Band Sampler (xs): back into rotation, truth is I haven’t pulled a stitch on it all year.
  6. Celtic Bird (xs): A possible contender for a finish by year end!
  7. Rows of Birds (french knot): hmm, this is just the kind of easy project I should be working on right now…

WIPocalypse, October

Happy Halloween everyone!

I missed September’s check in, unfortunately, but at least I have some progress to report:

Lurcher is done!

Italian Bird Tile is oh so close:

WIPocalypse, July

I didn’t post in June, but have been working away on my WIPs (even as I’ve been working on plenty of other projects as my recent posts explain).

Some progress on the Italian Bird Tile:

And on the Lurcher:

WIPocalypse, April

I almost didn’t post this month, with not a lot of progress to show. But the WIPocalypse has been so inspirational I decided to go ahead and share.

Biggest finish for April – the reindeer rug. It still needs to be bound, but it has already been claimed by Clark. I like his enthusiastic appreciation!

‘Atta boy, Clark. Work those blond hairs in!

Also small progress on Lurcher and Fantasy Landscape backstitching. I keep these away from Clark.

Thanks for viewing!

WIPocalypse, March

I concentrated on three pieces and made a decent amount of progress. I’ll show the January photo, then the March photo to show maximum progress. 😉

Lower stitching is done, it’s all backstitch now. Once I finish that, I will return to the top – there is a flying zebra I haven’t even started.

Lurcher (January)

Lurcher (March)

Lurcher needlepoint 0312

I’m doing basketweave, which makes beautiful uniform stitches but takes a lot of yarn. Last needlepoint piece I finished (Two Elephants) I did half-cross stitch, which doesn’t look as nice and I had TONS of leftover yarn. So I’m living dangerously, if I run out I’ll just have to request more from Ehrman.

Oh reindeer rug, will you ever be done? I only work on this Tuesday evenings, and we’ve been quite chatty lately at my hooking group. But seriously, it was 70 degrees out this weekend, time to wrap this one up and put it away for Christmas!
